| Jour | 3 | Pékin – Pyongyang | Allez par vous-même à l’aéroport. PM: Arrival at Pyongyang Airport by JS flight at 16:00, Meet KITC french or english speaking guide and tranfer to your hotel by car (30m drive into the city center), Check-in, dinner and overnight. |
| Jour | 4 | Pyongyang | AM: Visit to Mansudae Grand Monument and fountain park, Pyongyang metro museum where we will be given a detailed guided tour, followed by a ride on the Pyongyang Metro itself. This will take in 5 stops in total. PM: Lunch in a local restaurant, First visit of this afternoon is the Pyongyang Railway Museum, where you will have a chance to learn about the country’s railnetwork and see several vintage locomotives in the display shed. Arch of Triumph, Pyongyang Schoolchildren’s Palace with children’s performance, Dinner will be taken at the Chogryu hot pot restaurant and overnight. |
| Jour | 5 | Pyongyang – Hamhung | AM: An early start today as we depart Pyongyang railway station for Hamhung (journey time 9 hours). Our private charter train will consist of a M62 diesel locomotive, vintage Swiss carriages and locally manufactured 4 berth sleeper carriages, plus restaurant car. Breakfast will be taken on the train as we watch the sun rise whilst travelling eastwards to the coast. PM: Lunch and liquid refreshments in the restaurant carriage. Relax on board, taking in the countryside and railway scenes. Arrive Hamhungrailway station. Check in and dinner at the hotel, with a chance to bathe on Majon beach and relaxation in the hotel. |
| Jour | 6 | Hamhung – Wonsan | AM: Hamhung city tour: visit to the Hamhung Grand Monument, traditional old house of Hamhung Bongung and the Hungnam fertiliser factory where there may be a chance to see the industrial rail line in action. PM: Depart Hamhung railway station for Wonsan(journey time 3 hours) with lunch on board the train. Arrive Wonsan, visit to the old railway station revolutionary museum featuring a historic Japanese built steam locomotive. Sunset dockside walk to Changdokdo light house to stretch the legs. Dinner at a local seafood restaurant and overnight at your hotel. |
| Jour | 7 | Wonsan – Pyongyang | AM: We depart Wonsan for our return journey to Pyongyang on our private charter train (8.5 hours journey time). Breakfast on board the train. PM: Lunch and liquid refreshments in the restaurant carriage. Arrive Pyongyang railway station late afternoon. There will be a sunset visit to the Juche Tower with stunning 360 degree views across Pyongyang. Dinner will be served at the Mangyongdae Bibimbap restaurant. Overnight at your hotel. |
| Jour | 8 | Pyongyang – Mt. Myohyang – Pyongyang | AM : Drive to Mt. Myohyang (3 hours journey time), Visit to International Friendship Exhibition where you will be able to see several rail carriages gifted to President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il. PM : Lunch in Chongchon Hotel***, Visit to Pohyon Buddist Temple where you will see original temples built in 1042 preserved as they are. Drive back to Pyongyang, dinner and overnight. |
| Jour | 9 | Pyongyang – Pékin | AM : 10 :40 Depart Pyongyang railway station. Day train for Dandong (Dep 10:40, Arr 16:23). A l’arrivée, connection pour votre train de nuit à destination de Pékin (Dep18:56, Arr 08:23 le lendemain). Nuit à bord.
